You’ve probably seen clematis arranged in vases, but blogger Julie Blanner took the idea of decorating with vines one step further: She turned fragrant jasmine into a stunning wall design. The humble materials have an ethereal effect that’s simply perfect for spring. We spotted this shot on her blog, Coordinately Yours, and were totally smitten.
Here’s how she pulled it off:
First, pick a plant that’s easy to bend and twist. “I chose jasmine for its wispiness,” Julie says. “I knew its thin, flexible vines would be easy to work with and take shape.” Pushpins adhered the design to the wall without leaving big marks behind.
Her best advice for recreating the look at home? Assemble the design just a few hours before your shindig. “I created mine in the afternoon and it remained fresh throughout the evening,” she told me.
Tell us: How would you decorate with vines?
